The rest of the train trip was equally smooth. We had the porters again at the other end and this time they carried the suitcases on their heads. I almost got schmucked by a motorcycle taking a picture.
We were met by our travel rep and new drivers and drove six hours to Khajuraho with a stop at Orchha for another fort and palace. It was interesting but I think we all felt that we had seen so many forts that it wasn't worth the detour. We were late arriving for our evening event and did the last hour of the drive after dark - a rather scary experience with the usual trucks, buses, bikes, pedestrians and animals.
