Bharatpur

We really thought our driver was going to have a day without getting lost but once again he couldn't find the hotel. To be fair when he asked directions, he would be directed to other hotels looking for business. This happens a lot in India. The hotel really was a palace and it was beautiful. On the second day after our visit to the bird sanctuary, three of us spent the afternoon dozing by the pool and drinking kingfishers making up for the early start. We left for the bird sanctuary at 7:00 and spent four hours there. It was a lovely spot. In addition to a wide variety of mostly water birds we saw antelope and jackels. Mary and Jane stayed on and saw a python!
