These 30 caves are all Buddhist temples dating from the 2nd century BC to 7th century AD. Unlike Ellora, they were buried for hundreds of years and therefore the paintings survived. Flash photography is not allowed and all of my pictures are of the outside only.
The hotel at Aurangabad was rather nice so I'll add a couple of pictures of it too.
